SERBIAN FILM JURY

19 movies will compete in the FEST national selection Serbian film. An international five member jury will decide on the prizes in the following categories: best film, best script, best director, best actor, best actress, best debut, and a jury prize will also be awarded. This year, the selection will also include films in which Serbia participated as a minor coproducer. These films will compete for separate minor coproduction prizes in three categories: best film, best director, best acting.

Jury president is Dragan Bjelogrlić, a famous Serbian actor, producer and director. He debuted at the age of 15 in the film Boško Buha, and after enrolled in the acting program at Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. During the nineties he solidified his status as one of the most popular actors with roles in movies such as The Black Bomber, Pretty Village, Pretty Flame, Wounds, Balkan Rules, War Live... He also had notable roles in TV shows such as Theater at Home, The Storks will Return... In 2010 he successfully debuted as a director with the film Montevideo, God bless you that was followed with a TV series and a sequel called See you in Montevideo.

Vuk Ršumović, scriptwriter and director, won the Belgrade victor award at last year's FEST for his directorial debut Nobody's child. He studied scriptwriting and playwriting at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and wrote multiple scripts for short films, TV shows, animated and documentary features. His first directorial feature, Nobody's child, won numerous awards on festivals all over the world- Venice, Palm Springs, Cairo, Abu Dhabi...

Cosmina Stratan is a young Romanian actress who studied journalism and acting. She debuted in 2012. in the film Behind the Hill by Cristian Mungiu, and won a best actress award at Cannes film festival. Two years later she was chosen as a Rising star at Berlin International Film festival. She played in numerous short films, Shelley, a feature film, and When shall we kiss, an HBO series.

Bernd Buder was born in Berlin where he studied political science. He was the program director of the Berlin art film cinema Berliner Filmkunsthaus Babylon, the consultant of several film festivals, among them the Forum section of the Berlin International Film Festival and the Cinedays in Skopje. He was director of the East-West co-production market connecting Cottbus. He was the acting programme director of the FilmFestival Cottbus, and since 2015 he has been the program director of the same festival. He also works also as a moderator and film journalist.

Nevio Marasović is a Croatian film director. He studied film and TV direction at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. He won numerous prizes for his features The Show Must Go On and Vis-à-vis, and he recently finished his newest film Goran. He is also the author and director of a comedy mini-series The Instructor.
