        • SYNOPSIS

Opulent and touching epic adventure Wolf Totem brings us back, through majestic sceneries which take your breath away, to the time of the Cultural revolution in Chinese province of Inner Mongolia. During the 1970s, a young intellectual from Beijing, Chen Zhen, travels to the remote Mongolian grasslands to live with the nomads. There, he discovers their ancient synergy of animals that they herd and wild wolves which wonder the endless plains. Seduced by the complex spiritual connection between these natural enemies, Chen

adopts a wolf cub, saving it from near certain death. However, when echo of the changes in the Peoples Republic of China reaches the grasslands from cities, bringing the spirit of the modern era, it disturbs the fragile balance between men and wolves. Traditional way of life of the shepherds and Mongolian grasslands, as well as the friendship between the young man and the wolf, are in danger of being destroyed forever...
